Boise Cascade Announces Dedicated Engineered Wood Product Organization in Support of Long-Term Commitment to the Canadian Market

In addition, Boise Cascade's new sales, Marketing and Technical Team for Canada is outlined below:

Chris Reiten – General Manager – Canada – Chris comes to Boise Cascade from BMC Select where he was Vice President of Supply Chain Management. He previously worked for Willamette Industries and Jeld-Wen. Chris is based in Boise, Idaho and will report to Dennis Huston, General Sales Manager.

Pedro Da Silva – National Marketing Manager – Pedro is being promoted to this role to ensure effective support of the National program. Pedro will also serve as the Area Manager for Quebec. Pedro has been with Boise Cascade since 2004, serving as a Professional Engineer, and most recently, the Area Manager for Canada. Pedro resides in Montreal, Quebec. He will report to Chris Reiten.

Erik Andersen – Area Manager Atlantic Canada – Erik has been the Customer Service Manager at Boise Cascade's ALLJOIST® facility since 2003 and for the past 18 months has been serving as the Area Manager for this region as well. Erik will now assume the Area Manager's position on a full time basis in Atlantic Canada. Erik lives in Edmundston, New Brunswick. Erik will report to Chris Reiten.

Darren Chambers – Area Manager Prairies – Darren will be the Area Manager for Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Darren has been with the All-Fab Group of Companies for the past 10 years. Darren lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba and will report to Chris Reiten.

Steve Flett – Area Manager British Columbia – Steve comes to Boise Cascade with an extensive engineered wood products resume, having previously worked for Weyerhaeuser and Taiga. Steve lives in Surry, British Columbia and will report to Chris Reiten.

Marko Merhar – Area Manager Ontario – Marko has spent the last four and a half years with Taiga as a Professional Engineer. Previously, he worked for Jager Building Systems as a Project and Design Engineer. Marko is based in Toronto, Ontario and will report to Chris Reiten.

Jon Balingit – Software Trainer – Prior to his new role at Boise Cascade, Jon had been employed by CanWelBroadleaf since 2007 as an EWP designer and software technician. In addition to the designer role, he had responsibility for software training and support of WoodI, KeyMark and BC Framer® software programs. Jon is based in Toronto, Ontario and will report to Matt Prince, Boise Cascade's Manager of EWP Software. 

Dom Lavoie – Professional Engineer -- Dom joined Boise Cascade in 2008 as a Product Engineer, working closely with the ALLJoist® plant. Prior to Boise Cascade, Dom was employed at International Beam and Tembec and as a consultant on quality and process improvements. Dom is primarily based in Montreal, Quebec and he will report to Gary Dunn, Boise Cascade's Senior Engineering Manager.

Maria Stefanescu – Professional Engineer – Maria returns to Boise Cascade where she worked from 2000-2002. Since that time, she has been a Project Engineer with Jager Building Systems. Maria has a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia. Maria is based in Toronto, Ontario and will report to Gary Dunn, Boise Cascade's Senior Engineering Manager.
