Kratos Awarded $1.2 Million Public Safety and Security Contract for Surveillance and Biometrics Based Access Control to Protect Critical National Infrastructure

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 19, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that its Public Safety & Security Division has been awarded a contract from a leading national digital infrastructure company to provide a range of physical security and surveillance products, solutions and services. Under the contract, Kratos will design, engineer and deploy a state-of-the-art surveillance and security system including access control with biometrics, smart cards, extensive interior and exterior IP-based CCTV, alarm monitoring, photo ID and biometric enrollment, and a fiber-optic system. The effort is part of a large, critical infrastructure facility construction project that requires comprehensive security and surveillance services. The project is expected to be completed by the end of second quarter, 2011.
