BOSTON, Jan. 25, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AG Mednet, the world's largest medical image collection and delivery service announced today that the steady state volume of images transferred by its managed service has surpassed the 2 million/month mark. The company achieved impressive growth in utilization in 2010. From January 1 to December 31, users from 58 countries utilized AG Mednet to deliver over 14,000,000 images to a multitude of diverse repositories, compared with 7,000,000 during the same period in 2009. AG Mednet expects to more than double the number of images delivered to 30,000,000 in 2011.

"This level of continuous growth has further demonstrated the robustness of our service, and validates the scalability of our global network footprint," said Abraham Gutman, President & CEO of AG Mednet. "We work very hard to maintain the high level of reliability and performance that investigator sites, sponsors and imaging core laboratories have come to expect of us. The ease of use and effectiveness of our service, and the high quality of customer support we offer our users have helped promote the rapid adoption of AG Mednet as the medical image transport service of choice for clinical trials."

AG Mednet, which provides the largest HIPAA and 21 CFR Part 11 / GxP compliant image collection, de-identification and delivery service, routes a broad range of medical imaging modalities, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, PET, IVUS and digital x-ray. The automated system, which enables the de-identification and secure, seamless electronic transfer of study data from sites to trial image repositories, enhances site protocol compliance while providing detailed reporting for regulatory requirements.
