NEW YORK, Jan. 25, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TIE Technologies, Inc. (Pink Sheets:TTCS), who is a diverse holding company specializing in science and technology driven companies focused on proprietary smart logistics for Homeland Security, environmental and disaster remediation, telemetrics, and advanced IT solutions, today announced the signing of a partnering teaming agreement with Applied Geo Technologies Inc. (AGT) a world leader in the design and manufacture of flexible fabric enviro-bladder tanks, for development of the 'TRIPLE PLAY' Quick Response Disaster Solution.

Smart Environmental Systems, a division of TIE Technologies Inc., and Applied Geo Technologies Inc., are collaborating in the development and deployment of the 'TRIPLE PLAY' which is a smart wireless sensor supported quick response disaster solution to address the critical and unmet emergency relief need for consolidated portable water, sewage, and shelter requirements associated with environmental disasters.

C.C. Fridlin, director of business development, AGT, commenting on the joint teaming agreement, said: "AGT is proud to partner with TIE Technologies to deliver fast, safe and affordable solutions for emergency situations because, unfortunately, disasters do happen. We approached this project with a 'what if a disaster happened to me' approach and the 'TRIPLE PLAY' is what we ultimately developed."

The 'TRIPLE PLAY', for which AGT will act as technical developer and manufacturer, will include a Water Solution that can place portable, fully biologically controlled, clean water bladder reservoirs in strategic locations within the disaster area; a Sewage Solution that can provide geo-sewage holding and processing tanks; and a Shelter Solution that can provide portable, easily assembled, 'Geo-Dome' shelters composed of ruggedized, weather proof, synthetic materials.

The 'TRIPLE PLAY' represents an unprecedented and unified 'mobile' and quick response solution to global disasters with the possibility of having the 'TRIPLE PLAY' air dropped or driven-in or shipped to the disaster area and quickly assembled and activated.

Mark Marangella, TIE Technologies EVP and Smart Environmental Systems Division President, stated, "Nearly one year after Haiti's earthquake, progress in meeting the essential factors of clean water, sewage treatment, and adequate shelter continues to challenge the Haitian government and relief organizations, with Cholera outbreaks being the predictable outcome of a lack of a consistent supply of clean water and sewage treatment. The 'TRIPLE PLAY' is an immediate, inexpensive, easily deployable, consolidated emergency disaster relief solution to satisfy these critical needs of every effected individual."
