In a bit of online irony, the Facebook fan page of company founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg was hacked Tuesday (Jan. 25).

According to TechCrunch, the attacker took over the fan page and posted a message that read "Let the hacking begin: if Facebook needs money, instead of going to the banks, why doesn’t Facebook let its users invest in Facebook in a social way? Why not transform Facebook into a ‘social business’ the way Nobel [Peace Prize] winner Muhammad Yunus described it?"

The phony Facebook message, which was signed #hackercup2011 (sparking a hashtag discussion on Twitter), received nearly 500 comments and was "liked" by more than 1,800 people before it was taken down.

There is no report as to who hacked the fan page.
