Starbucks Corp. said Tuesday that customers who are not happy with their Via instant coffee can get a free bag of ground beans instead.
The coffee giant has put a major push behind its Via line, including heavy marketing and an expanded product line. Starbucks said the line has generated more than $135 million in global sales since its launch.
Starbucks is so confident that customers will be happy with the taste and quality of the product that it is offering the replacement deal from Tuesday through Aug. 31 for customers who are not pleased with their Via purchase.
The move is also expected to provide a safety net for consumers who haven't tried the instant coffee product yet.
