Call it a womb with a view.
The Corallium Spa at the Lopesan Cota Meloneras resort on the Canary Islands has created a "womb room" designed to "re-create the journey of life starting with where it all began," The Telegraph reports.
The low-lit room features water beds designed to remind guests of the amniotic sac. Pink carpets splashed with red fabric adorn the floor, which revolves slowly "to simulate a giant umbilical cord." Music, described by the hotel as "breathy," is piped into the room to re-create the noises heard inside the womb.
Guests enter — and ultimately exit —the womb room through "the neck of the uterus,” a corridor fashioned out of pink carpet.
"According to recent research around 60 percent of adults suffer from sleep problems and one third from insomnia,” a spokeswoman told The Telegraph. “The Womb Room could be the answer to those restless nights.”
