VIVIAN, La., Feb. 14, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Avro Energy, Inc. (OTCBB:AVOE): Further to the Company's news release dated February 4, 2011, where the Company stated that it was working on an agreement for the purchase of three new wells in South Arkansas, the Company confirms that it has reviewed the well logs, equipment assessment, title work on these wells, and has made a formal agreement on two of these wells, the Betts No. 1 and the Betts No.2 well in South Arkansas. The Company's consulting geologist is still reviewing the well logs and other supporting material on the third well.

The deepest of the two wells is 5,000 feet deep, and from previous experience in the area, the Company expects to find other zones of interest above the original target depth that the Company feels are suitable for through-the-pipe logging technology and recompletion.

With these two acquisitions, the Company will have a total of 35 wells in the ArkLaTex region of North Louisiana and South Arkansas.

About the ArkLaTex Oil-Producing Region

The ArkLaTex is a U.S. socio-economic region where Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas intersect. The region is centered on the Shreveport/Bossier metropolitan area in Northwest Louisiana. The region's history is heavily linked with the oil industry. The geology associated with the deposition of sediments from the Mississippi River, in particular, makes this area an abundant source for the oil and gas industries, which leads to the high levels of oil production within the region.
