(Nasdaq:EBTX) announced today that Derek Munger has been named Senior Vice President - Private Banking. Mr. Munger brings over forty years of banking expertise to Encore Bank and is tasked with further growth of the Private Banking Group.

Mr. Munger comes to Encore Bank from Bank of Texas where he also served as Senior Vice President Private Banking. Before joining Bank of Texas, he was a Senior Vice President for Compass Bank's Wealth Management Group. Prior to Compass Bank (now known as BBVA Compass Bank) Munger held a variety of positions for first River Oaks Bank and then West University Bank including President, COO and Director.
Mr. Munger is a Trustee for Goodwill Industries of Houston and has served on the Rotary Club of Houston Board for over twenty years. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and earned his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Derek and his wife, Kathy, are actively involved in Houston philanthropies and have three children.
