ROCK HILL, S.C., March 3, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 3D Systems Corporation (Nasdaq:TDSC) today announced the filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission of a new shelf registration statement and a proposed public offering of 2,040,000 shares of its common stock. Of the total number of shares offered, 1,300,000 are being offered by 3D Systems and 740,000 by certain current stockholders. The Company and those stockholders also granted an option to underwriters, exercisable on a pro rata basis, to purchase up to an additional 306,000 shares of stock if the other offered shares are sold. 3D Systems intends to use the net proceeds from its offering for general corporate purposes, including potential acquisitions. The Company will not receive any proceeds from the sale of shares by the selling stockholders.
