What:

Howard Schultz, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Starbucks Corporation (SBUX), will ring the NASDAQ Closing Bell remotely from its corporate headquarters in Seattle, Washington.

Starbucks will kick off a celebration of 40 years of great coffee, and four decades of connections with valued customers, store partners (employees), and the neighborhoods in which Starbucks does business.

Howard Schultz will reflect on the brand's 40-year history and talk about plans for the company's future, including the new white cup. Beginning March 8, customers around the world will begin to see the evolution of the Starbucks brand, signaling the company's continued growth and unique business model. Most notably, Starbucks iconic white cup and promotional merchandise will carry the new logo that celebrates the Starbucks Siren. She embodies Starbucks and coffee – evoking coffee's allure and its seafaring tradition.

The ceremony will be broadcast live on the NASDAQ MarketSite seven-story tower in Times Square and via satellite to national and international media.

The Closing Bell is a ceremonial event that represents NASDAQ's virtual market model. As a result, The NASDAQ Stock Market can be closed from any location bringing together investors and market participants from around the world to mark the end of the trading day.
