(Nasdaq:ENTR), a leading provider of silicon and software solutions to enable connected home entertainment, today announced that Mr. Tom Luan has joined the Company as Vice President and General Manager in China, responsible for leading the Company's local China business operations. In this new position, Mr. Luan will oversee the development and implementation of business strategies for all Entropic product lines in China.
A recognized leader in the semiconductor industry, Mr. Luan brings more than 15 years of general management and commercial experience in building and scaling organizations, while growing business relationships throughout the greater China region.

Prior to joining Entropic, Mr. Luan held a number of executive level positions, including corporate Vice President and President of Zoran China at Zoran Corporation, Executive Director and Country Manager at Conexant, and Regional Marketing Director at Infineon. Prior, he held management and engineering positions at I-Cube, NEC Electronics, and National Semiconductor. Mr. Luan holds an MBA from San Jose State University, a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Bachelors degree in Astrophysics from Peking University, China.
Mr. Luan will be based in Entropic's Shenzhen, China office. He will serve as part of Entropic's senior management team, and will report directly to Entropic Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales, Bill Bradford.
