KENNEWICK, Wash., March 14, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- James Katzaroff, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Medical Isotope Corporation (OTCBB:ADMD), a company engaged in the production and distribution of medical isotopes, will participate in the "Success Story" panel discussion at the United States Industry Coalition (USIC) Annual Meeting to be held March 15-17 at the offices of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in Washington, DC. The panel will convene on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 16.

In addition to Advanced Medical Isotope Corporation, the panel will include presentations by two other USIC members, DuPont and Campbell Applied Physics. The participants will explain how their USIC GIPP partnerships have developed and are bringing them success. GIPP is a proven model for technology commercialization involving partnerships among U.S. industry, U.S. national laboratories, and Russian and other former Soviet scientific institutes.

Mr. Katzaroff said, "Participating in this USIC panel discussion helps spread the word about Advanced Medical Isotope Corporation's innovations in the medical isotope sector. In response to the ongoing shortage of medical isotopes, we are formulating strategies to dramatically increase production in the U.S. Specifically, we have plans to develop a way to produce molybdenum-99 and other radioisotopes not with a nuclear reactor, but rather with small compact devices."

The theme of the USIC conference is building global partnerships for innovation. Its goal is for individuals and companies to come away with information on opportunities and partnerships that can make a near-term, positive impact on their businesses. The 2010 Annual Meeting attendees included USIC members and potential members, representatives from the Department of Energy and National Labs, Department of Defense, Department of Commerce, BARDA and an array of other Federal agencies. Also attending were foreign dignitaries and business leaders from Saudi Arabia and Russia.
