LOS ANGELES, March 15, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Los Angeles Capital Management, a global manager of institutional equity portfolios, today announced a leading risk management executive, Dr. Edward Rackham, has joined the firm as Director of Risk Management.

Dr. Rackham joins LA Capital after spending six years at Wilshire Associates in California, most recently as the Head of Research and Development of their Equity Analytics Group. In this role, he worked with over 100 institutional money management firms in risk management and equity technology. Prior to this, Dr. Rackham was an instructor in Mathematics and Physical Chemistry at Oxford University where he also earned his doctorate.
