TUCKER, Georgia, March 25, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Williams Specialty Services, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Williams Industrial Services Group, LLC, learned yesterday that a former employee, Matthew David Correll, has been charged by federal prosecutors with falsifying inspection and measurement reports relating to work previously performed at Tennessee Valley Authority's Watts Bar nuclear plant. Williams Specialty Services is providing a variety of services in support of TVA's Watts Bar nuclear plant under a subcontract to Bechtel Power Company. At the time of the alleged incident, Mr. Correll was an employee of Williams. However, his employment ended in September 2010.

"Williams learned of the indictment yesterday and was unaware that federal prosecutors were pursuing this action," stated Penny Sherrod-Campanizzi, chief operating officer of Williams Industrial Services Group. "Williams does not have additional information related to the indictment and we cannot comment further on this matter," she continued.

Through its own internal control processes, Williams identified the documentation issue and acted proactively pursuant to Williams, TVA and Bechtel procedures to take appropriate immediate actions. All necessary corrective steps have now been taken to eliminate potential future risks associated with this matter.

"We are acting in full cooperation with all regulatory agencies, TVA and Bechtel. Williams has been providing services to the nuclear community for over 20 years. We have a very strong safety and regulatory compliance record, and always work within the policies and procedures of the customers we support," concluded Sherrod-Campanizzi.
