(Nasdaq:MAKO), a medical device company that markets both its RIO® Robotic Arm Interactive Orthopedic surgical platform and proprietary RESTORIS® implants for minimally invasive orthopedic procedures known as MAKOplasty®, today announced receipt of a binding commitment for the establishment of eleven new MAKOplasty sites from Hospital Management Associates, Inc. (NYSE:HMA), a premier operator of acute care hospitals primarily in the southeast and southwest areas of non-urban America. It is expected that these MAKOplasty sites will be established over the course of 2011.
