Swisher Hygiene Acquires A-1 Solution's and Unitex, Inc.

("Swisher Hygiene") (Nasdaq:SWSH) (TSX:SWI), a leading provider of essential hygiene and sanitation products and services, today announced that it has acquired A-1 Solution's, LLC ("A-1"), a Wisconsin-based hygiene and chemicals company, and Unitex, Inc. ("Kleenmark"), an Alabama-based linen facility.

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 31, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Swisher Hygiene Inc. ("Swisher Hygiene") (Nasdaq:SWSH) (TSX:SWI), a leading provider of essential hygiene and sanitation products and services, today announced that it has acquired A-1 Solution's, LLC ("A-1"), a Wisconsin-based hygiene and chemicals company, and Unitex, Inc. ("Kleenmark"), an Alabama-based linen facility.

A-1 serves the Green Bay and surrounding markets and provides specialty chemicals and warewash service programs to the foodservice and hospitality industries. Concurrent with the acquisition, Pete Tooley, the owner of A-1, will be joining Swisher Hygiene.

Kleenmark serves the Greater Birmingham, Alabama market and provides facilities services such as the processing and delivery of mats, bar towels and aprons to the foodservice and hospitality industries. Julian and Patricia Pickett will be assisting Swisher Hygiene during the transition period.

Total consideration paid by Swisher Hygiene in connection with the acquisitions includes $345,000 in cash, the assumption of certain liabilities and the issuance of up to 27,304 shares of common stock of Swisher Hygiene, subject to certain restrictions and conditions, including acceptance by the Toronto Stock Exchange.
