(Nasdaq:GKNT), the online network for the global geek community, today announced that it has named Jeffrey Drobick as President and Chief Executive Officer, Geeknet Media. Mr. Drobick will join the Office of the Chief Executive Officer which includes Chief Financial Officer Kathryn McCarthy, Chief Administrative Officer Carol DiBattiste and President and Chief Executive Officer of ThinkGeek Caroline Offutt. (Nasdaq:GKNT), the online network for the global geek community, today announced that it has named Jeffrey Drobick as President and Chief Executive Officer, Geeknet Media. Mr. Drobick will join the Office of the Chief Executive Officer which includes Chief Financial Officer Kathryn McCarthy, Chief Administrative Officer Carol DiBattiste and President and Chief Executive Officer of ThinkGeek Caroline Offutt. Mr. Drobick spent the past 12 years with eBay, most recently as Vice President, Customer Service Technology Solutions. While at eBay, Mr. Drobick held a variety of positions in product development responsible for analytic infrastructure, user behavioral insight, marketing, merchandising, and advertising technology. His teams were the technology partners in developing eBay's advertising business, driving increased traffic optimization, launching eBay Partner Network, and creating retention marketing across all channels within internet, direct and onsite marketing. Prior to that, he held leadership roles in Information Technology, helping to build the core systems that enabled eBay's rapid growth into international markets. Prior to eBay, Mr. Drobick spent nearly 8 years at Accenture, formerly Andersen Consulting, in their Global Technology Information Services practice serving clients in the products, government, utilities, food service, and eCommerce industries.
