MELVILLE, N.Y., April 6, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its Melville, New York-based subsidiary, Comtech PST Corp., received orders aggregating $3.3 million addressing the needs of multiple customers for different applications.

The first order is for $1.9 million and the customer will use Comtech's amplifiers in a complex Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) system used to interrogate aircraft to determine their friend or foe status. The second order is for $1.4 million of high-power amplifiers and switches and the customer will use Comtech's amplifiers and switches in their radio signal jamming systems.
