PLAINSBORO, N.J., April 8, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Integra LifeSciences Holdings Corporation (Nasdaq:IART) today announced that it has opened a new facility in Medina, Ohio, to house its growing spinal implant business. The facility is equipped with the latest video and communication technology, which will help support global business operations as well as multi-site product development efforts. It also features a state-of-the art Prototype Shop and a medical device mechanical testing laboratory, both designed to enhance the development process and better serve the needs of Integra's customers.

"Integra is delighted to announce its move into a new, larger facility and become part of the Medina community. The new facility will enable Integra to sustain the expected growth of its spine team and better serve our global customers. It is also designed to support a team-oriented environment, fostering employee communications and efficiencies. This wonderful new facility will go a long way toward enabling Integra to respond more effectively to the needs of customers and patients, ultimately helping to improve standards of care," said Brian Larkin, Integra's President, Global Spine and Orthobiologics, and Head of Strategic Development.
