LOS ANGELES, April 14, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Liner Grode Stein Yankelevitz Sunshine Regenstreif & Taylor LLP is pleased to announce the additions of Robert S. Kaufman as Of Counsel, Scott K. Robinson as Partner and Adam T. Cain as associate with the firm's Los Angeles office. As a group, these gentlemen will also add the area of Family Law to Liner Grode's practice. Collectively, their family law, trial practice and complex litigation experience integrate well into the firm's philosophy.

Mr. Kaufman's time tested niche in handling complex, high asset divorce and domestic relation matters afford his clients a strategic advantage. Since beginning his practice in 1964, he has represented prominent individuals internationally, in the business, entertainment and sports communities. Mr. Kaufman is credited with developing the argument that "celebrity goodwill" can have economic value as a property right, and thus should figure into divorce settlements. Mr. Kaufman received his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles and his J.D., from Southwestern University.

Mr. Robinson, who joins the firm as a partner, worked for Justice Mildred L. Lillie in the Second District Court of Appeal, and Judge Stephen Reinhardt in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Upon graduation from law school, he worked as a corporation and banking lawyer for five years, specializing in leveraged buyouts. Thereafter, he shifted his focus to litigation, and since 1992 Mr. Robinson has devoted his practice exclusively to family law, where he specializes in complex, high-asset cases. He has represented numerous billionaires in the business world, and other business executives and entertainment and sports figures in a range of domestic relations matters. Mr. Robinson received his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and attended the University of Southern California School of Law and Arizona State University School of Law, where he received his J.D.

Mr. Cain has litigated and negotiated multi-million dollar issues and represented a wide variety of clients. His clients include CEOs, entertainers, hedge fund managers, and other high profile and high net worth individuals. Adam received his B.A. from Point Loma Nazarene University (cum laude) and his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law.

Stuart Liner, founder and managing partner at Liner Grode commented, "Bob is a pioneer in the area of family law. With the addition of this practice to the firm, we see a strong integration with our entertainment clients, as well as strong cross-over potential in the areas of real estate and complex litigation. Our clients are sure to see a benefit in having access to their expertise."
