(Nasdaq:CATM), the world's largest retail ATM owner, today announced that New York State-based Wegmans Food Markets, one of the largest private companies in the U.S., has selected Cardtronics as the exclusive provider of ATM services to its entire chain of 77 supermarkets located in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia and Maryland.
Installation of Cardtronics-owned ATMs has already begun, with full-deployment of 86 machines expected by early summer. Select Wegmans Food Markets locations will house multiple Cardtronics ATMs; additionally, some of the ATMs will be placed in Wegmans administrative offices for employee use. A privately-held, family-owned company since 1916, Wegmans Food Markets employs over 41,000 people.
