(Nasdaq:TOPS), an international maritime shipping company that provides transportation services for crude oil, petroleum products, and dry bulk commodities, announced today that it has taken repossession of the M/T "IONIAN WAVE" from the previous Charterer and delivered the vessel to a major Charterer under a new bareboat charter for a minimum period of seven (7) years with three successive one-year options at a daily rate of US$ 9,000.

(Nasdaq:TOPS), an international maritime shipping company that provides transportation services for crude oil, petroleum products, and dry bulk commodities, announced today that it has taken repossession of the M/T "IONIAN WAVE" from the previous Charterer and delivered the vessel to a major Charterer under a new bareboat charter for a minimum period of seven (7) years with three successive one-year options at a daily rate of US$ 9,000.

TOP Ships Inc. is examining its options, including discussing a commercial solution with the previous Charterer, in order to recover the amounts due.

TOP Ships Inc. also announces that it has entered into a new time-charter with a Korean charterer for the M/V "CYCLADES", a 75,681 DWT Panamax drybulk vessel, built in 2000 in Japan. The time-charter is for a period of three years at a gross rate of $20,000 per day.
