NEW YORK, May 4, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Golden Spirit Enterprises Ltd. (OTCBB:GSPT) announces that its alternative fuel, Terralene, a proprietary fuel formulation which is 55% petroleum based and 45% from renewable energy sources  meets the mandate of the latest U.S. Energy policy to increase fuel efficiency and sustainability while reducing reliance on import oil.

Terralene Fuel's patented formulation will allow the U.S. Government to utilize and extend the use of its existing domestic fossil fuel reserve by using a by-product of oil or coal blended with readily available ethanol from the likes of corn, switchgrass, sweet sorghum and other earth friendly components.

Although the Obama Administration states that all new government cars and trucks, starting in 2015, will be hybrids, electric cars and alternative fuel vehicles, that may not be necessary as given the weak economy; Terralene Fuel is a fuel alternative that can be seamlessly incorporated through the existing fuel pumps and infrastructure already in place. With reduced carbon emissions up to 25% and produced cost effectively as compared to gasoline and with better reduced wear on a car's engine, Terralene is the logical alternative fuel to go with.

The wide use of electric cars may be part of the country's future; however, sales of those vehicles have fallen short on expectations while the sale of regular SUV's have continually gone up despite the rising price of gas. Terralene Fuel can be used as a bridge between gasoline and electric cars in the U.S. and a long term fuel alternative or gas replacement in developing countries.

The Company is currently in discussions with several lobbyists in Washington about advocating the use of Terralene on certain fleets whether private or governmental on a trial basis. The fact that no modifications are needed in any vehicles before using Terralene Fuel makes the transition to cleaner and better fuel efficiency easy.
