MCLEAN, Va., May 12, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has again been selected by the U.S. Department of Justice for a role on an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract for information technology (IT) solutions. The work will continue to modernize and secure the department's information systems while delivering more cost-effective and efficient IT operations.

Northrop Grumman is one of 20 companies selected to compete for task order awards under the Information Technology Support Services-4 (ITSS-4) program, which has a collective ceiling of $1.1 billion. Work will be conducted over a six-month base period and six one-year option periods. The scope of the program includes a range of tasks and processes related to cybersecurity, mission support, and enterprise application services and technology. 

To meet the requirements of the diverse ITSS-4 program, Northrop Grumman assembled a team consisting of 20 large and small business partners. The team will provide integration, modification and maintenance of current systems and support for future program needs throughout Justice Department offices and bureaus. By leveraging new applications, technologies and software, the department will benefit from increased security, business effectiveness and customer service.
