This new certification follows the successful evaluation of the EDS system according to the European Standard 3 enhanced detection requirements, as announced in March. This product is marketed and distributed by L-3 Security & Detection Systems as the eXaminer® XLB.
The high-speed eXaminer XLB, capable of processing over 1,200 bags per hour, uses the most advanced computed tomography (CT) technology for explosives detection. This high-performance, in-line CT explosives detection system provides reliable threat detection and exceptionally fast baggage processing.
