Covering a total of 32,428 square feet, a landscape painting in China's Fortune Tower has been named the largest panoramic painting by the Guinness World Records.
Located in Zhengzhou City of the Henan Province, the Fortune Tower is a TV and radio signal transmitting tower. Called "Splendid Central Plains," the painting shows a wide, all-encompassing view of the Henan province's landscape, including the Longmen Grottoes and the Yin Ruins.
It took 13 painters a year to complete the panoramic painting inside of the tower. The record attempt was organized by the Henan Administration of Radio Film and Television.
The record attempt marked Fortune Tower's official opening on April 29, and the painting's Guinness World Records title was announced on April 26.
