MENA, Ark., June 3, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Please join Ouachita Seniors and Retirees, Inc. on Monday, June 6, 2011, for the official ribbon cutting for The Oaks, an assisted living facility for low-income seniors in Mena, Arkansas.

Ouachita Seniors and Retirees, Inc. will be joined by local, state, and congressional officials to celebrate the completion of the project, which is more than 10 years in the making.

Officials from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas), which awarded a $100,000 Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant to the project, will also be in attendance at the event.

Representatives of Ouachita Seniors and Retirees and FHLB Dallas will be available for interviews before and after the event. Lunch will be served at noon, followed by the ribbon cutting and program at 1 p.m. A tour of the facility will follow.
