(Nasdaq:ENTR), a leading provider of silicon and software solutions to enable connected home entertainment, today announced that TiVo has adopted its leading silicon solution based on the MoCA® (Multimedia over Coax)-standard to support its multi-room streaming solution. With its new MoCA-enabled products, TiVo will contribute to the estimated 26.9 million MoCA-powered home networks expected to be in place in the Americas by 2014, as predicted by IMS Research.
The trend toward ubiquitous connected home entertainment devices is gaining momentum, and consumers are demanding their home networks be reliable and robust enough for streaming multiple channels of high definition (HD) quality multimedia.
