US Airways officials say the computer system at its hub in North Carolina was down for more than three hours. Flights are still being delayed even though the system is back up and running.

An airline spokesman said Sunday the system at Charlotte Douglas International Airport went down at 7:50 a.m. and was restored about 3 ½ hours later.

The airline is warning customers that they may encounter longer lines at the ticket counter and delays of up to an hour. The outage did not cause any flights to be canceled.

A five-hour computer outage virtually shut down United Airlines on Friday night and early Saturday. Thousands were stranded as United canceled 36 flights and delayed 100 worldwide.
