Sept. 11 Memorial App Shows Past and Present

As we approach the 10-year mark since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, it's an important time to look back at what happened and then take a look at where we are now. As we approach the 10-year mark since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, it's an important time to look back at what happened and then take a look at where we are now. To that end, Magnify Media has created an iPad app with vast amounts of information about the twin towers and the people who were lost with them.

The 911 Memorial : Past, Present and Future app features videos and information about the World Trade Center before 9/11, as well as video and images from that tragic day and those that followed.

Looking forward, The 911 Memorial app also has information on the memorial being constructed at ground zero, including an interview with the creator of the memorial and a timeline of construction. For those who visit the site of the terrorist attack, this app also serves as a tour guide, of sorts, with videos, images and information that informs visitors about the memorial park as well as the people who died on Sept. 11.

The app is created by filmmaker Steven Rosenbaum and includes scenes from his documentary about the attack and its aftermath called "7 Days in September."

The 911 Memorial: Past, Present and Future is available for free in the Apple App Store until Sept. 12. After that it will cost around $10.
