MC Hammer is gearing up for a comeback, but not in the way you might think.
The rapper – known for his hits "U Can't Touch This" and "2 Legit 2 Quit" – announced at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco on Wednesday that he's launching a search engine called WireDoo.
WireDoo – which has the tagline "Search once, see what’s related" – aims to connect key words to related topics. For example, a search for a home on WireDoo could bring up related topics such as schools in the area, crime rates, community information and so on. [Read: Most Annoying Tech Word Revealed]
Mc Hammer said the initiative doesn’t aim to recreate search, but rather to make search a deeper experience.
WireDoo is in the process of being built and is not yet available to the public.
