The Washington National Cathedral is open again, and a number of events are being held at the earthquake-damaged building.
On Monday, a cathedral organist will demonstrate its pipe organ, which has more than 10,000 pipes. On Tuesday, the cathedral will offer a requiem mass for the feast of all souls.
Also scheduled this week are an interfaith prayer day and an interfaith concert.
The cathedral reopened to the public Sunday. It had been closed since the 5.8-magnitude earthquake on Aug. 23, which caused stonework to fall from the building's towers and other damage. Repairs are expected to take years and cost at least $15 million.
The cathedral is also putting the finishing touches on an exhibit documenting the damage.
