Two unknown sailors from the Civil War, killed in 1862 when their ship, the ironclad USS Monitor sank, have been buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Their remains were discovered in the Union warship’s gun turret after it was raised from the ocean floor off the North Carolina coast in 2002. Today
