The Forbes 2000 is a new list — a comprehensive ranking of the world's biggest companies, measured by a composite of sales, profits, assets and market value.
The directory spans 51 countries and 27 industries. Collectively, the Forbes 2000 account for a healthy chunk of global business: Aggregate sales are $19 trillion; profits, $760 billion; assets, $68 trillion; market value, $24 trillion; and worldwide employees, 64 million.
