Duchess Kate gets her heel stuck in metal grate

  The expecting Duchess of Cambridge got a lot of attention online after getting her heel stuck in a metal grate. She was presenting St. Patrick’s Day shamrocks to members of the Irish guards.

  Landmarks around the world are turning green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

Police pipe band visits the plaza

  NYPD Emerald Society Pipes and Drums band visited the TODAY plaza to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and play songs for the crowd. “We’re the oldest and largest police pipe band in the United States,” bandmaster Sgt. Brian Coughlan told TODAY’s Lester Holt and Erica Hill.
