Yesterday (April 19) Google's handy photo-editing site, Picnik, closed its Web address. But you can still use it inside Google+, the struggling social media network that's been overshadowed by Pinterest and Instagram — and has always been far behind Facebook. If you planned ahead, Google let you download your Picnik photos as a zipped file that could be uploaded to another site of your choice, including Google+. If not, you can start from scratch — after all, Picnik only let you store your 100 most recent photos . To stick with Picnik, now called "Creative Kit," go to your Google+ homepage, select "Photos" from the left-hand column and "Upload" to add photos to your account. Click on a photo to access Google+ editing features. Choose "Creative Kit" and voila! — there's Picnik. It's all free — no $5 upgrade to access bonus features like the old Picnik, but advanced capabilities such as dodge, burn, clone and collages are gone. You can choose to share your photos to your Google+ circles or keep them private.
