PHOENIX (Reuters) - An Arizona man convicted of kidnapping, raping and murdering two 13-year-old girls in 1991 and tossing their bodies down an abandoned mineshaft was put to death by lethal injection on Wednesday.
Richard Dale Stokley, 60, was pronounced dead at 11:12 a.m. Mountain Time at the state prison in Florence, Arizona, about 60 miles southeast of Phoenix, state officials said
