Sandy Hook students head back to school

  After three long and challenging weeks, Sandy Hook Elementary students returned to class Thursday at a nearby middle school in Monroe, Conn., where they will remain until their old school is no longer designated a crime scene. NBC’s Rehema Ellis reports.

Newtown students prepare to attend school

  On Thursday, the Sandy Hook Elementary students who survived the shooting at their school will head to a new school six miles away where neighbors have rolled out the welcome mat. NBC’s Kate Snow reports.
