ABUJA (Reuters) - Gunmen shot dead two health workers who were administering polio vaccinations in Nigeria's largest northern city Kano on Friday, police said.
"Two are dead and one sustained injuries after being shot by unknown gunmen," police spokesman Magaji Musa said.
Kano, Nigeria's second largest city, has been regularly targeted by Boko Haram, an Islamist sect which has condemned the use of western medicine.
