BEIJING (Reuters) - China's new president Xi Jinping told South Korea's president on Wednesday that China was willing to help to promote dialogue between North Korea and South Korea, saying stability on the Korean peninsula was in China's interest, China's foreign ministry said.

Xi also told Park Geun-hye in a telephone call that China hopes all parties work hard to ease tensions, according to a statement on the website of China's foreign ministry.
