Some people just can't get a good night's sleep. But who knew an oxygen-emitting pillow could help?

Qing Ji, an undergraduate for the JiLin Animation Institute in China, has submitted a concept for the Electrolux Design Lab student competition, one that could change the way you get some rest. The cellular pillow is a green-and-white casual pillow that provides not only comfort, but safety from harmful germs.

This pillow's design is made up of aloe cells, which are used to absorb carbon monoxide and release oxygen in its place, helping people who are leaning on it to breathe easier. The cells can also eliminate harmful bacteria and any harmful gases around the sleeper.

With this, claims Ji, it'll create a similar experience to sleeping in the forest, breathing in the fresh air and helping you get an overall better night's sleep.

Ji's design is one of 100 concepts Electrolux chose from more than 1,700 submissions in its competition, with the theme " Effortless Cleaning." In the second phase of the competition, applicants will refine thier ideas and submit reivsed concepts between Apr. 24 and May 1. Meanwhile, the public is eligible to vote anytime until May 12. A team of Electrolux executive, however, will make the final call.
