Chris Latham's murder for hire trial entered its second week Tuesday as Latham's ex-wife took the stand.
Nancy Cannon, formally Latham, was cross examined by the defense lawyers for both Wendy Moore and Chris Latham. Nancy was asked if she ever had an addiction or entered rehab for prescription drug. In tears Nancy Cannon answered she has not and that she never had a problem with addiction. She told Moore's defense attorney that her mother recently passed away and took prescription pain killers, and she a lot pills in the house because of that.
Nancy was also asked about an affair that was first discovered by Chris back in 2006. The defense also offered evidence showing Nancy had called the man she worked with as a Real Estate Agent over 2,000 times in 2008 and and 1,841 times in 2009.
Chris Latham's attorney Kate Schmutz also asked Nancy about her emails in 2011 to the man saying when Chris would be out of town. Schmutz also talked about the content where Nancy wrote "I love you baby." to the other man.
Nancy Cannon was asked about alimony after the divorce and acknowledged she knew that if she was caught in an affair she would not get payment from Chris, which could have amounted to $5,000 to $10,000 a month.
Also called to the stand by prosecutors were investigators from Bank of America where both Latham and Moore worked.
They said there were searches on computers that included Nancy's address as well as searches about an 18-year old male living in Nancy's home and was a friend of the daughter Nancy and Chris share.
The afternoon testimony will continue involving Bank of America investigators.
While the trial is in its second week, Tuesday will only be the 4th full day of court due to weather last week and the President's Day holiday on Monday.
Both Wendy Moore and Chris Latham face felony Murder-Racketeering charges for allegedly organizing a murder for hire where Chris's then wife Nancy was the target.
