It has been called a "divorce epidemic."  More and more Americans are opting out of happily ever after and starting over. And as the divorce rate in this country shows no signs of diminishing, researchers have amassed mountains of research, on the state of marriage and how if effects the kids. In fact, according to one statistic, every year more than a million children experience their parents divorce.
