She spent seven years in prison for child rape after having two children with her former sixth-grade student.

But now, Mary Kay Letourneau says she and the former student plan to get married.

Letourneau said on CNN’s “Larry King Live” Monday night that no date has been set for the wedding.

She said she and Vili Fualaau share “a deep spiritual oneness,” “a compatible sense of humor” and a “perspective on life.”

Despite her conviction for child rape, LeTourneau told King she believes her life has been blessed.

Letourneau was released from prison Aug. 5. She registered as a sex offender for having sex when she was the sixth-grader’s teacher in a Seattle-area school.

Fualaau is now 21 years old. Letourneau is 42.
