Seven-year-old Hunter Campbell’s candy haul included a 14-carat diamond engagement ring that slipped off a newlywed’s finger as she doled out treats in this town west of Boston.
Paulie Andreosatos-Gavin said she’d just had the ring resized and it was a little bigger than normal. She spent a panicked evening looking for the ring before calling police.
Luckily for her, the boy’s parents turned in the ring as soon as they spotted it in the candy haul.
The bride told the MetroWest Daily News she’s sending the trick-or-treater a reward.
