Two gunmen crashed a girl’s 15th birthday party early Sunday morning, shooting two teenagers to death and injuring another in a back yard crowded with revelers, police said. One suspect was in custody.

The men apparently had a previous dispute with some of the partygoers, Hialeah police spokesman Jose Caragol said. When the two showed up at the party, some of the revelers threw beer bottles at them to force them to leave.

One man opened fire, but when his gun jammed the other gunman started shooting, Caragol said.

Alvaro Trana, 19, died at the scene, while another teen died at a hospital. The other teen’s name was withheld while police were trying to contact his family. Jonathan Aleman, 17, was hit by a bullet but was expected to recover fully, Caragol said.

One shooting suspect, Raul Maceda Dominguez, 21, was arrested shortly after the killings around 12:30 a.m. as he tried to flee the house, Caragol said. He was charged with first-degree murder and firearm charges and was being held without bond.

Detectives were trying to find the other suspected gunman, Jean Carlo Batista Perez, 24, Caragol said.

Ronnie Alcantara, 19, who is accused of helping Maceda try to escape and hide his gun, was arrested on accessory charges and held without bond. Caragol said he didn’t know whether the men had lawyers.
