It’s not your typical “bat cave,” but bats have taken up residence at a school in the northeast Texas town of Redwater.

    1. C'mon — what's not to like?

Hoof it over to Facebook to join the weird news herd.

Superintendent Max Thompson says the bats are inside a wall at Redwater Middle School, but so far the creatures haven’t ventured into any classrooms.

Thompson is hoping the animals will leave on their own.

Workers have zeroed in on where the bats entered the structure and will fix the spot once they leave.

So far classes haven’t been canceled, but the bats can be heard rustling around within the wall.

Bats can carry diseases, including rabies.

Redwater is a town of about 900, 10 miles west of Texarkana.
