There's a freshly-scrubbed and irony-free quality to the people out in Seattle. The Pearl Jam vibe is still alive, but not in a pretentious way. The style is a delightful blend of Patagonia and Perry Ellis.

We took a tour of Pike's Place Market, a landmark here. Unlike the touristy Fishermen's Wharf in San Francisco, this is a real and functioning market. Fresh fruits and vegetables, salmon and king crabs at every turn. Sure, there were hippies who smelled like kitty litter strumming six strings, thatched hair clinging to Guatemalan parkas, but they didn't annoy me the way they would have in New York. I think I'm decompressing.

So, today we examine the continuing drama surrounding the Terri Schiavo case. We'll have reaction to the latest--a U.S. Supreme Court decision not to intervene in the Florida court action. It has been a long, sad story. Seems like this could be the final step.

Also, a new Imax film deals with the issue of evolution, and some theaters simply won't show the film. We'll have a great debate for you.

More to come from my sojourn to the left coast.
