Unfortunately, the fact that one of our facilities is a target — in this case, JFK — is not new news to us. That is why we have been on a heightened state of alert since 9/11, and constantly update and review risk assessments.  In addition, we share intelligence routinely with all our partners in local, state and federal government law enforcement, as for example, with the Joint Terrorist Task Force. We also work closely with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the N.Y. State Department of Homeland Security on a broad range of initiatives and pilot programs to enhance our security systems.
We remain vigilant and always on guard as we dedicate ourselves to our mission: to provide safe and secure passage for travelers and goods in the region.

We take all security threats seriously which is why the OHS immediately sent the information received to the appropriate personnel for investigation and have been working closely with Port Authority and federal officials. While we cannot comment further, the OHS is taking the necessary steps to work with our partners to ensure safety and security and are evaluating actions necessary as we routinely do.
